Welcome to the music of John Boulware. I play the fiddle, viola, mandolin, guitar (fingerstyle and flatpicking), bass, and tenor guitar. I sing and play a variety of acoustic music styles including bluegrass, old-time, gospel, celtic, swing, country, and classical. I play for weddings, parties, and festivals. I have also filled in with bands and done session work. I teach guitar, fiddle, and mandolin lessons at Mountain Music in Red Bank, Tn.

This Friday, September 5th I will be playing with Lou Wamp and Swing Shift and Valley Grass for the Moutain Opry's Anniversay show this year. Admission is free so come on out and support a great local bluegrass/old-time/country music venue.

Casey Phillips wrote an article for the Chattanooga Times Free Press about me winning both fiddle categories at Uncle Dave Macon Days this year. Check it out online here. There is also a video of me playing Brilliancy, the tune that I won the Contest Style division at Uncle Dave Macon Days with.
